(This is a Z table used in a leading ISU SAP-CRM implementation. You can give the table SAP0090 – this is a standard table. – in general all condition tables have the naming convention CNCC*)

Contains the Header Information for a Business Transaction.

Note:

1. It doesn’t store the Business Partner responsible for the transaction. So, to get the Partner No, link it with CRM_ORDER_INDEX.

2. This table can be used for search based on the Object Id (Business

Transaction No).

Stores the Item information for a Business Transaction. The scenarios where we have a Contract Header and within contract we have Line Items for the contract, this table can be useful.

E.g. Service Contracts

CRMD_CUSTOMER_I Additional Site Details at the Item Level of a Service Contract
SCAPPTSEG Table for individual Appointment Types for a transaction.
CRM_JEST Individual Object Status for any business transaction.

1. open table TDEVC and put DLVUNIT = ‘BBPCRM’.
you will get all the development classes for CRM.
2. open table TADIR and enter the following,
PGMID = ‘R3TR’
OBJECT = ‘TABL’
DEVCLASS = All the devclasses found above in step 1.

Org Data Determination

In R/3 SD, during Order entry, we have always wanted users to determine or select Sales Org/Dist Channel/division that is appropriate.

CRM can relieve the users of having to determine the “Org Structure” and determine that automatically. You essentially store some canned rules for organization determination and let the system run these rules to determine the the appropriate Org Structure in transactions.

Two types of rules. Generic and Specific.

In Generic Rule, called also a “organization Model” rule, you say (as an example) ” when I enter the customer, look at the country and region attributes of customer. Then with these values search organization attributes and determine the right Org Units….and then update the transaction org values accordingly”. The good thing about generic rule is, it does not require too much ‘maintenance’ unless the Logic for determination of the org structure itself is being overhauled. One disadvantage of using the generic rule is that, it does not account for typical Business Exceptions like ” though this pericular customer belongs to Belgium, John has been hanling this account from beginning and he would like it to be treated differently because the CEO of this……etc…”. Especially if there are more exceptions than generic rules, you go to Specific Rule.

Specific Rule also called ‘Responsibilities’. This is more or less ‘Hard Coding’ the responsibilty matrix and making the system look up this matrix to determine the appropriate Org Structure in transactions. The clear disadvantage is the frequent maintenance of this matrix when there are changes.

It is important to check in the Attributes section of the Organization Definition, you check the box for “Obj Permitted for Org Determination”. If this is not checked, even if the rules meet the requirements, these Org structures will not be fetched

Create these OrgDeterminationProfiles( ie Rules). Assign them to transaction types.

SPRO>CRM>MasterData>OrganizationManagement>OrgModel>Tools— Use this to check consistency. To check which determination Rule/what are the containers in the rule/what is the profile etcc.. provide transaction type and you can see how the transaction runs the Org Determination Check.

While creating or changing the transaction, go to ‘Organization’ tab and look for details to find out what rule and how the organization was determined.

SAP Holds Top Rankings in Worldwide Market Share for SAP(R) Business Suite Applications

SAP AG  today announced that it has been named the worldwide market share leader based on total software revenue for business solutions in the customer relationship management enterprise resource planning and supply chain management  markets, according to 2007 market share reports published by renowned independent research firm Gartner, Inc.

The following is an overview of the Gartner rankings, measured by total software revenues for 2007:

– SAP leads the CRM market, with a total market share of 25.35 percent, placing nine percentage points over its closest competitor.(1)

– SAP leads the SCM market, with a total market share of 22.4 percent, a sizeable lead over second-ranked competitor at 16 percent.(2)

– SAP leads the ERP market, with a total market share of 27.5 percent, far surpassing the second-ranked competitor at 13.9 percent.(3)

Customer is King at Home Shopping EuropeGmbH

As one of the leading shopping television channels in Germany, HSE24 (Home Shopping EuropeGmbH) has identified the multichannel approach as the key success factor for generating superior customer value. Customers can access HSE24’s offerings via TV, the HSE24 Web site, telephone, e-mail or print publications. In March 2007, HSE24 bundled its ‘customer is king’ modernization program, where the company switched the management of customer information and service requests to SAP CRM.

With SAP CRM 2007 available, the company decided to upgrade its systems immediately and extend the scope of functionality covered by the SAP system. SAP CRM 2007 allows HSE24 to integrate internal business units, external services providers and interfaces to the back-end systems as well as to the Internet shop on a single platform. Apotex Lowers Cost of Customer Service Operations

StatoilHydro Drives Top Line Revenue Growth

StatoilHydro is the largest seller of oil products in Scandinavia, with more than 29,000 employees in 40 countries.

COMCPRFORMAT (TCODE) – Lexicograph Format Info

1. In CRM, the transaction COMCPRFORMAT ( for Defining Product ID Settings ) has the settings for ‘Save Lexicographically’ as inactive then….
With nonlexicographical storage, the product IDs 123 and 0123 refer to the same product, that is, the leading zeros are meaningless. Both product numbers are stored in the database as 0000000000000000000000000000000000000123 and are thus identical.

2. But if In R3, the corresponding transaction OMSL has the settings for ‘Lexicographical’ as active then these 2 products will be considered as separate products….

Process to Get Partner function (BP Address) related to Sales Order

Using table CRMC_OBJECTS try to locate the entry “partner” and get the corresponding object type 7.

From table CRMD_ORDERADM_H take the GUID and select the entries in table CRMD_LINK table. Select the entry which has the objtype set = 7 and objtype_hi = 5. Get the corresponding GUID_SET entry.

Using the GUID_SET entry, select the entries in the CRMD_PARTNER table. Select the entry for the partner function you want to investigate. Get the corresponding address number.

Using this address number we can get the address information for the partner from ADRC table.

DEFAULT BP ROLE GROUPING

It is not possible to define default Grouping based on BP type (person, org, group).  through customizing. But you can accomplish it through a BDT extension (event ISDAT in BUS7). However you can have one default ext number range and one int number range for all BP roles. This is set in the Grouping IMG area.

SAP user group foments revolt over massive price hike

The UK SAP user group today called on the German software giant’s customers to scrutinise plans to force them to cough up almost a third more for their contract.

The group wants companies affected to examine the changes in detail in the hope they’ll be unhappy enough about a real-terms 30 per cent costs increase to kick up a stink.

SAP announced plans to railroad customers onto higher-spec support packages earlier this month. Costs are set to be ratcheted from 17 to 22 per cent of contract value, effective immediately for all new customers and to be phased in by 2012 for everyone else.

Alan Bowling, chairman of the UK SAP users group, said: “We understand that if SAP is to provide more comprehensive support then it has to charge more for it. However, many of our members may not want or need this extra level of support and therefore are reacting negatively to having a new support product and the associated increase in costs forced upon them.”

In particular, the UK users group and its German counterpart reckon the new support will be more than many small and medium-sized businesses need. Feedback on SAP’s attempt to force them to pay more has been “hugely negative”, Bowling said.

He called on SAP management to rethink strategy . Analysts estimate the price hike could generate an extra €1bn annually by the time all its customers have been squeezed, so some pretty loud complaining is likely to be required.

Create an new attribute by copying. Then add your new attributes. to the correct scenario (SALE or SERVICE).
Ensure that you have a ‘Z’ preceding the the attribute name

SAP Shutting down TOMORROWNOW Service

SAP said it was working with TomorrowNow’s more than 225 customers to help them move to other service providers. TomorrowNow, which SAP bought in February 2005, provides support for Oracle and other business applications. Oracle’s brands include PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Siebel.

SAP plans to finish closing the operation before Oct. 31, 2008

TomorrowNow was at the center of a 2007 Oracle lawsuit accusing SAP of “corporate theft on a grand scale” because of document downloads by TomorrowNow employees.

The suit, which is pending, claimed TomorrowNow employees “copied and swept thousands of Oracle products and other proprietary and confidential materials into its own servers” using fake logins or credentials stolen from Oracle customers such as Bear Stearns, Honeywell, and Merck. The documents allowed SAP “to offer cut-rate support services to customers who use Oracle software, and to attempt to lure them to SAP’s applications software,” Oracle charged. Oracle later amended its suit to include copyright and breach-of-contract claims.
